Presenter, Researcher

Hi, I’m Rosie, one of the podcast presenters at Folklore Scotland.

I studied animation and comics at university with a dash of folklore and mythology on the side. I have a lifelong love of Scottish folklore, my favourite being Tam Lin with its headstrong heroine, Janet, who rescues her love from the Fairy Queen.

Cathy Arkwright

Presenter, Researcher

Hi everyone! I’m Cathy, I’m one of the trustees and a podcast host at Folklore Scotland.

Generally, folklore really interests me for what it reveals about common human psychology and experience. For that reason, tales like Rashiecoats are some of my favourites for how familiar the stories feel.

Joanne Fong

Researcher

Hi everyone, I’m Joanne, and I’m one of the researchers of `The Folklore Scotland Podcast!
One of the pieces of Scottish folklore I really love is the story of Beira, Bride & Angus, which is a story of how the seasons came to pass in Scotland. However, my absolute favourite pieces of folklore are all the stories of White Ladies spotted throughout the land of Scotland!
