Meet The Trustees

Folklore Scotland became registered as a national charity in July of 2020 in order to further build our capacity as an organisation and gain recognition for our efforts. Our board members are made up from a group of diverse individuals with a variety of skillsets but they all share a passion for Scottish Folklore. Meet our trustees below.

David White

Chair, Co-Founder
David Co-founded Folklore Scotland along with his wife Rebecca back in 2019. Since then he has sat as the chair of the charity taking an active role in events, written content, the Crannog podcast as well as telling the occassional tale on Campire Tales.

Rebecca Brown

Vice-Chair, Co-Founder
Rebecca Co-founded Folklore Scotland with David back in 2019 and since then has contributed to tour social media, written content, collaboration projects, podcast presenting and editing.

Mila Georgiva

Trustee
Mila joined the Board of Trustees in 2026 having previosuly played an active role in the charity since its early days as a presenter on The Crannog.

Jenni Gudgeon

Secretary
Jenni joined the Folklore Scotland Board in 2025 bringing with her a wealth of expertese as an author, artist and Charity Trustee.

Stewart Kempsell

Trustee
Stewart is one of the original Trustees of Folklore Scotland who has sat on the Board since 2020. Stewart brings with him a unique insight and creative approach to the charity's endeavours

Rosie Lesh-Young

Trustee
Rosie volunteered with Folklore Scotland as a podcaster on a couple of our podcasts for several years before deciding to become part of the Board in 2026.
