The diverse nature of Dumfries & Galloway with settlements from the Picts to the Celts and Romans  dotted about, has resulted in a wealth of varied folklore. This has been further assisted by its proximity with the Borders, a hub of Scottish Myths & Legends and Ireland the true home of Celtic Mythology.
